Recommendations And Advice On Baby Carriers Please

by Carol on November 11, 2008

I am shopping for a baby carrier for my first child. I don’t have any experience and would like to know which baby carrier would be best and what should I avoid. I have heard that baby front carriers are best for young babies but they look rather flimsy to me! Surely your baby would fall out? And how on earth do parents cope with a front sling. My husband would look great wearing one of those lol.

Any advice you could give me would be appreciated and I can’t wait to try a carrier out! Like most mothers I want to make the best possible choice and avoid the mistakes others have made.

I love the baby sling myself I found the Maya Sling to be perfect. Don’t worry about the baby falling out – he won’t! I’d say the only downside to this type of front sling is that it takes some getting used to. Stick with it though and you won’t regret it. Good luck with your baby.

Don’t worry your baby will be just fine. The Baby Carrier will have him all snuggly and warm next to your body. I’ve tried many different types and although not the best in the world the Bjorn Baby carrier isn’t bad and it’s not to expensive. Try a few on and see what you think.
